Acoustic Waves are:

Volkan Baydar (Vocals, Percussion)
Music has always been a part of him. He sang before he could even speak. This did not go unnoticed by his parents, who always tried to give him and his brother Tayfun as much as possible. As a teenager in the 80s, he got his first four-track recorder so he could record his first own songs – inspired by soul greats such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Terence Trent D’Arby.
At the age of 20, he met his Orange Blue partner Vince Bahrdt through an advert and the rest is history: after a trip to the Stage School Hamburg, studying acting in New York and his first leading role in the musical “Pico”, his big breakthrough finally came in 2000 with Orange Blue. He has always followed his musical roots.
Heinz Lichius (Bass)
The Netherlands native took drum lessons from the age of eleven. In 1990 he completed a jazz degree at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg. In addition to his great passion as a drummer, he is also an excellent bass player
The busy musician provided the foundation for the following bands with his groove: NDR Bigband, HR Bigband, Ulita Knaus, Jonas Schoen, Jürgen Attig, Jo Gallardo, Jon Hammond, Roland Cabezas, Side By Side, Ulla Meinecke and Orange Blue.
Guido Bungenstock (Guitar)
He completed his studies at the Munich Guitar Institute and has been working successfully as a private teacher, guest lecturer at the Hamburg School of Music and as a workshop leader throughout Germany for over 25 years. He has produced over 130 guitar learning videos for one of the largest guitar online portals.
The accomplished guitarist has appeared on numerous rock & pop productions and is a live and studio musician for international artists such as David Garfield (Steve Lukather, George Benson, Los Lobotomys), Jack Thammarat, Vinai Trinateepakdee, Onita Boone, Terri Green, Kosho (Söhne Mannheims), Rick Latham (Edgar Winter), Uli Kusch (Helloween, Masterplan), Fanfields (Toto Tribute), Benny Greb, Otto Waalkes, Frank Briggs, Sylvan and many more.
Acoustic Waves occasionally receive support from the following musician friends:

Robbie Smith (Vocals, Percussion)
With this exceptional singer, Acoustic Waves has found an excellent replacement for Volkan Baydar. The powerful-voiced soul and jazz singer and percussionist Robbie Smith has Caribbean roots, his father was the famous jazz drummer Harold Smith from Trinidad. Robbie has toured with various artists such as Michael Bolton, George Benson, Howard Carpendale, Tony Christie, Roger Cicero and No Angels. Robbie is a real groove wonder, and his voice easily reaches the heights of a Stevie Wonder and brings the soul shouter James Brown back to life.
Karin Kasar (Vocals)
As the legendary original voice behind the biggest hits of the Eurodance project Real McCoy, Karin Kasar defined the sound of the 90s worldwide with her unmistakable signature vocals. Her voice powered global multi-platinum hits such as “Another Night,” “Run Away,” “Automatic Lover,” “Come and Get Your Love,” and “Love & Devotion.” Today, she focuses on funk, soul, and R&B. She is currently planning the release of original tracks to further establish her identity as a solo artist.
Boris Vasiljevic (Bass)
A Hamburg-based bassist and native of Croatia, he has been providing basslines for a wide variety of bands and projects for 30 years. In addition to rock, pop, indie, country, and blues, he is increasingly active in his true passion—soul music—dedicating himself to the genre with bands such as The Volcanoes and the St. Pauli Soulmachine. Alongside countless club gigs, his recent performances include a stage appearance with a Greek-Turkish band—led by actors Adam Bousdoukos and Idil Üner—as the opening act for the Zeise Open Air festival, held prior to the premiere of Fatih Akin’s documentary Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul.
Nancho Campos (Drums)
Geboren in Santiago/Chile und seit 1987 tourt er als Schlagzeuger und Percussionist mit Tony Sheridan, Geff Harrison, Wayne Morris, Lee Curtis, Johnny Logan, Angelo Kelly, Tony Christie, Hugo Egon Balder und viele mehr
Stephanie Hundertmark (Vocals)
She began her career as a session musician and singer with the a cappella group Five Live. From 2001 to 2014, she lent her voice to the ambient project Vargo, contributing to three albums (including Beauty). During this time, she also released her solo debut Wishlist, in collaboration with the production team Bluwi. In 2015, she refocused on songwriting and recorded her second solo album on Vancouver Island with the multi-nominated Canadian producer Joby Baker.
